Launch Day Support Triage Template
Sort incoming launch issues by observed impact, affected journey and evidence so the right owner handles access failures before cosmetic requests.
When to use this template
Use this during an approved release when product questions, bugs and feature requests arrive at the same time.
Choose another approach when: You intend to publish private reports, make commitments without an owner, or treat a few loud comments as representative demand.
Gather these inputs
- The promised launch journey and supported audience.
- An appropriate private support channel with limited necessary evidence.
- Named product, engineering and communications owners.

Worked example
Illustrative example, not a Crany customer result. Replace every example detail with facts you can verify.
A fictional launch receives ten requests for a new theme and two reports of invitation failures. The triage marks invitation access as blocking because those users cannot reach the promised task. It does not dismiss the issue merely because it has fewer messages. The owner requests only the minimum safe diagnostic context and checks a fresh invitation. A fix is reported as resolved only after the actual access journey works. The theme requests remain recorded without turning them into an unapproved roadmap promise.
How to use it
- Capture symptoms and scope without copying unnecessary personal data.
- Prioritize against the promised user task and assign a responsible owner.
- Acknowledge known status, verify the fix and record unresolved uncertainty.
Check before using it
- A symptom is not presented as a confirmed technical cause.
- No unsupported resolution deadline is promised.
- Public updates exclude private customer details.
What to measure
Track time to restore blocked tasks, verified recurrence and unanswered questions. Issue count alone cannot establish overall product quality or the prevalence of a problem across all users.
