When to use this template
Use this when several launch surfaces are ready but publishing them in the wrong order could send people to unavailable access or an unsupported journey. Keep factual copy in its existing message map.
Choose another approach when: You want an automatic posting schedule without review, need a universal best publishing hour, or intend to use a calendar as evidence that content was actually published.
Gather these inputs
- Approved release facts, destination links and prepared channel-specific messages.
- Known audience timing evidence and each platform’s current rules.
- Release dependencies, support coverage and the owner who can hold a communication.

Worked example
Illustrative example, not a Crany customer result. Replace every example detail with facts you can verify.
Fictional example: the founder plans a website update, a subscribed-audience email and a permitted community announcement. The calendar puts the verified website and access explanation first because the other messages point there. The email is planned during a period when the founder can handle access questions. That choice is a support judgment, not a claim that the hour maximizes global engagement. A named time zone keeps a collaborator from scheduling against a different local clock. When the access check fails, later messages are held. Each row records whether publication actually occurred, so an approved draft or a scheduler entry is not counted as a live placement.
How to use it
- List each placement with its destination, approval and release dependencies.
- Choose times using audience context and real support coverage, recording the time zone.
- Verify prerequisites before publishing and record actual placements separately from the plan.
Check before using it
- The calendar references approved copy rather than creating inconsistent new offer claims.
- Every time has an explicit zone and a reason that does not invent audience data.
- Unmet access or support conditions can hold later communications without a surprise automatic send.
What to measure
Track planned versus actual placements, dependency failures and the support work following each release. Interpret response differences alongside channel and audience context. A sequence calendar cannot establish an optimal posting time or causal attribution by itself.
