Objection Response Evidence Template
Prepare fair answers to product concerns by separating the actual question, verified facts, limitations and an appropriate next step.
When to use this template
Use this when the same concrete concern appears in research or sales conversations and the team needs a consistent factual answer.
Choose another approach when: You want to manipulate someone past a genuine mismatch, invent security or performance assurances, or treat every objection as something the customer must overcome.
Gather these inputs
- The person’s actual concern and context.
- Verified product, policy or workflow facts relevant to that concern.
- Known limitations and a suitable alternative or follow-up owner.

Worked example
Illustrative example, not a Crany customer result. Replace every example detail with facts you can verify.
Concern: “Will my client have to create another account just to read the handoff?” For the fictional product, the answer must follow the actual access design. If clients need an account, say so and show the real invitation flow. If a public preview exists, explain its actual access and privacy implications without calling it secure by default. An honest limitation may mean the product is not a fit for this person’s client process. The answer sheet records that possibility instead of inventing a frictionless workflow to preserve the sale.
How to use it
- Capture the concern without reframing it into a more convenient question.
- Verify the answer with the product or policy owner and identify evidence gaps.
- Respond directly, demonstrate where useful and accept genuine fit limitations.
Check before using it
- The answer does not promise an unsupported capability.
- Privacy or security claims are checked rather than improvised.
- The next action serves the person’s decision, even when they choose another option.
What to measure
Track whether answers resolve uncertainty accurately and whether repeated concerns reveal a product or positioning mismatch. A closed sale is not the only useful outcome of a truthful answer.
Research and sources
The sources support understanding actual user context and providing accurate information. This evidence sheet is an original communication aid, not a pressure-selling framework or legal approval of product claims.
