Conversion Objection Placement Map
Place verified answers where a prospect encounters a real decision, mapping questions across the journey without hiding limitations or repeating a generic FAQ.

When to use this template
Use this when support or research shows that relevant prospects encounter an unanswered question at a specific step. Reuse a fact-checked answer and choose its context instead of inventing a new persuasion script.
Choose another approach when: You need to draft the answer itself, want to amplify an anxiety nobody has expressed, or intend to bury a material limitation behind optional help until after a person commits.
Gather these inputs
- Actual questions with their task and decision context, not an invented objection list.
- Verified answers and any important limits from the existing evidence sheet.
- The current journey from first explanation through the relevant access or commitment step.

Worked example
Illustrative example, not a Crany customer result. Replace every example detail with facts you can verify.
Fictional example: designers ask whether a client needs an account to see a handoff preview. The question appears when they are deciding whether the workflow will suit their client, not after they have completed a signup form. The founder places the verified pilot access condition near the preview explanation and keeps it consistent with the demo and invitation wording. An optional help link provides detail, but does not conceal a condition that changes the decision. A separate price question has no approved answer because pricing is unannounced. The map records that fact instead of inventing a free plan. Later observation checks understanding; fewer repeated questions alone would not prove a conversion lift.
How to use it
- Locate the decision context behind each real question before choosing a placement.
- Reuse a supported answer and expose material conditions before the affected commitment.
- Check cross-surface consistency and observe whether relevant readers can find the answer.
Check before using it
- The map places existing verified answers rather than manufacturing new objections.
- Optional help is not used to hide a condition that materially changes the offer.
- Question resolution is not equated with purchase, signup intent or measured conversion uplift.
What to measure
Track unresolved decision questions, contradictory answers and observed findability at the relevant step. Interpret later question counts alongside traffic and audience changes. This map supports contextual clarity, not a universal objection-handling sequence or a causal sales claim.
Research and sources
NN/g discusses task-relevant contextual help and upfront disclosure. This original journey map separates answer placement from answer drafting and does not claim that any placement universally persuades a prospect.
