Product Availability Claims Register
Keep website, email, demos and AI-readable summaries aligned on which capabilities are released, limited, planned or not offered.
When to use this template
Use this before a launch, beta expansion or content rollout when different pages or teams may describe the same product capability differently.
Choose another approach when: You intend to make a roadmap promise without approval, hide access restrictions, or infer that a working design mockup is a released service.
Gather these inputs
- An authoritative product capability list and current access rules.
- The public surfaces where each capability is described.
- A responsible owner who can verify a release or limitation.

Worked example
Illustrative example, not a Crany customer result. Replace every example detail with facts you can verify.
A fictional prelaunch tool has a working internal checklist prototype but no public signup flow. Register status: planned for public users, with internal prototype evidence only. Approved wording: “We’re building client handoff checklists.” Wording to replace: “Create your client checklist now,” because the public cannot do that yet. When a limited beta is actually enabled, the register records its audience conditions. The team updates the website, invitation email and machine-readable summary together instead of letting one surface imply a public launch.
How to use it
- Use actual access and released behavior as the status source of truth.
- Find every public statement about the capability and compare it with the approved wording.
- Update affected surfaces together and recheck the live result after release.
Check before using it
- An internal prototype is not presented as general availability.
- Access conditions are visible where they materially affect the promise.
- The register does not invent deadlines or approved roadmap commitments.
What to measure
Monitor contradictory claims and support questions caused by unclear availability. Keeping descriptions consistent can improve trust, but it does not guarantee that every external search or AI summary refreshes immediately.
Research and sources
Google’s guidance supports accurate trustworthy information. The availability register and coordinated-update process are original editorial operations tools, not a mechanism for controlling external AI answers.
