Landing Page Proof Placement Plan
Place relevant substantiation beside the landing-page claim it supports, preserving evidence limits and avoiding decorative or misleading social proof.

When to use this template
Use this after the team has approved a bounded claim and obtained genuine supporting material. Decide where the reader needs that material and what it actually demonstrates before adding it to the layout.
Choose another approach when: You need to invent evidence, want a customer logo to imply an unapproved endorsement, or intend to use a staged screenshot as proof of an outcome you have not measured.
Gather these inputs
- The exact page claims and their approved factual limits.
- Genuine demonstrations, documentation or appropriately permitted customer evidence.
- The reader’s decision at each page section and the material conditions affecting the claim.

Worked example
Illustrative example, not a Crany customer result. Replace every example detail with facts you can verify.
Fictional example: Handoff Notes claims its limited pilot can present a client checklist preview. A real sample-data screen is placed beside that explanation with a caption identifying the pilot and fictional project. The screen demonstrates that preview state. It does not establish faster client work, adoption by a named company or a measured reduction in support. The founder therefore leaves those broader claims out rather than putting a logo strip beside the screenshot. A text explanation describes the relevant behavior for readers who cannot inspect the image. A separate observation checks whether visitors understand both the demonstrated capability and the access restriction.
How to use it
- Start with supported claims rather than a desire to add more persuasive page elements.
- Match each claim to evidence of the same scope and annotate its relevant location.
- Check context, permission and accessible explanation before reviewing reader understanding.
Check before using it
- The evidence demonstrates the statement beside it rather than an unrelated product strength.
- Sample data, prototypes and limited access are identified where they affect interpretation.
- A customer name, logo or quotation is not used to suggest an endorsement without permission.
What to measure
Observe whether relevant readers find the supporting material and restate the claim within its actual limits. Track unsupported inferences and outdated assets. Placement can be reviewed for clarity; it does not establish a trust score or causal conversion lift.

NN/g discusses upfront disclosure, accurate content and skepticism toward selected testimonials. This original annotation plan applies those principles; its placements have not been tested as a universal conversion pattern.
